Cabo Travel Guide + Resort info
I love Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Cabo is very upscale, lively, and has those rocky beach vibes.
Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from STL to CABO or I would probably come here more often!
I usually stay at the Grand Solmar Lands End Resort and Spa when visiting Cabo San Lucas.
This resort is located at the southern tip of the Baja California Cabo peninsula and on the side of the Pacific Ocean. This resort is a 45 minute drive from the airport.
Resort pros:
-luxury, clean, great views, multiple infinity pools, sunset pool, all inclusive option, friendly staff, and the food and drinks are of high quality compared to other resorts I have stayed at.
This resort has a couple restaurants and a sports bar.
All the pools serve food and drinks!
I would recommend LaRocca on the resort for the awesome breakfast and dinner views. LaRocca food/drink selections are wonderful as well!
-the resort is walking distance (10 minutes down hill) to the marina, where you can take a water taxi to lovers beach (an area you can take a dip in the water).
Also within walking distance (20 min):

-convenient stores
- restaurants
My favorite restaurants outside of the resort: walking distance or 5 min drive:
-romeo Y Juliet (Italian)
- the wine bar
- hacienda (Mexican)
- the outlook (Mexican)
-Cabo wabo
I feel safe for the most part walking around downtown, but as always you should be aware of your surroundings!
other things to do off the resort:
- sunset cruise!
- dinner at sunset Monalisa (fancy, Mediterranean food)
Resort Con: (for me at least) this is not an adult only resort but there are very few children when I have gone. Also, If you enjoy swimming in the ocean, then Cabo is probably not for you! The ocean here on the pacific side is not swimmable but this resort has plenty of infinity pools with ocean views!
